When I became a mum I naturally started working with other mums and parents. As a new mum myself I understand how life changing and stressful this time can be, the challenges finding time for yourself and trying to work towards some personal goals. I’m also an advocate of positive therapy. I believe that having a positive mindset can be the key to success in many different areas of life. This type of therapy is for people who don’t necessarily have major emotional problems but simply want to improve their quality of life. If you feel ‘stuck’, would like to take some time to destress and relax, build on your inner strength and resilience so you can overcome life’s challenges more easily, deal with overwhelm, avoid burnout, make some behavioural changes, master new skills and achieve things that have been on your ‘to do’ list, then this might be just what you need!
After a varied career in Human Biosciences, Healthcare and Healthy Lifestyle, I retrained as a Human Givens psychotherapist and now work with adults, pregnant women, mums and parents. My journey to becoming a therapist has been a very personal one, through my own struggles. I gained a lot of weight (I’ve lost 6 stone since!) and during the pandemic I suffered from anxiety and low mood. Becoming healthy and losing weight led me to become a transformation coach and becoming emotionally healthy was the catalyst for my career change to become a therapist.
